Roseisle Hall has recently completed the installation of new sound baffles, making a significant improvement to the hall’s acoustics and reducing sound reverberation during busy events.
The new baffles help absorb excess noise, making conversations clearer and the hall more comfortable for everyone - particularly at social gatherings, meetings and community events where background noise can make hearing difficult.
The project was funded through a combination of grant support from Moray Local Action Group through Third Sector Interface Moray, and hall funds. The installation was carried out by a dedicated team of volunteers, who generously gave their time over several days to complete the work. The skill and dogged tenacity of these volunteers saved the hall a substantial additional outlay.
Alex Lyons, Chairperson, said:
“This is a really positive upgrade for the hall. We know that background noise can be challenging, especially at busy events, and these improvements will make a noticeable difference for many hall users. We’re extremely grateful to both Moray Local Action Group and TSi Moray for their support and to our volunteers who worked so hard to make this happen.”
Roseisle Hall continues to invest in improvements that make the building more welcoming, accessible and enjoyable for the whole community.

New heaters have been fitted at the hall this week, fully funded through a generous grant from Fred. Olsen Renewables via Heldon and Laich Community Council.
The new, energy-efficient units replace the existing heaters, which had been in use for over twenty years and were beginning to fail. It is hoped that the upgrade will bring a new level of comfort to all hall users while also reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.
Chair, Alex Lyons, said:
“We are most grateful to have this essential equipment replaced and thank the funders, Fred. Olsen Renewables, for the grant. Their support has enabled us to make a much-needed improvement that will benefit everyone who uses the hall.”
The installation marks another step in improving the hall’s facilities, ensuring it remains a warm, welcoming and sustainable space for the community.

Roseisle Hall is pleased to announce that it is now connected to WiFi Scotland’s high-speed broadband network. This significant enhancement provides a valuable benefit to the Hall’s many user groups and increases its appeal for commercial bookings.
The Trustees of Roseisle Hall wish to acknowledge the generosity of WiFi Scotland LLP who are providing this service free of charge. Their support ensures that the Hall continues to serve as a modern, well-equipped venue for the local community and beyond.

The time is fast approaching for Crafternoon to resume after the summer and Roseisle Hall Trustees are keen to support the continuation of this as a community group.
To enable the continuation of this beneficial activity the Trustees have entered into an arrangement with the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS), being operated by Sharon Finlay for this area. Sharon will assume the role of responsible person, organising teas and running the sessions on a monthly basis. RVS will provide insurance for the group and other support throughout the year. These sessions will now become 'RVS 100 Clubs - Crafternoon at Roseisle,' commencing on 12th September from 1 - 3pm. Thereafter the events will be held on the second Friday of every month with details published on Facebook, Roseisle Hall website and our newsletter.
This is the first of 100 similar groups being set up across the UK, modelled on the Roseisle group. We hope to encourage members old and new to come along, enjoy working on their own creation in the company of like minded folk, and perhaps share their knowledge or learn a new skill.
